Inter’s 6-0 hammering of Lazio put them within three points of Serie A leaders Atalanta, with a game in hand, as they put the pressure on La Dea and Napoli in the Scudetto race.

The Nerazzurri will probably not be able to reschedule the trip to Fiorentina until February 2025, as it was abandoned due to the medical emergency for Viola midfielder Edoardo Bove.

Meanwhile, they are still closing on Atalanta thanks to this evening’s 6-0 win away to Lazio, who until kick-off had also been on 31 points with Simone Inzaghi’s side.

This sent a big message, as until now their only victory in the head-to-head battles had been against Atalanta, losing to Milan and drawing with both Juventus and Napoli.

Fiorentina are on a par with Lazio – and again have a Serie A game in hand – while Juventus are slipping further away after a series of dismal stalemates.

In the top eight, Bologna and Milan have also only played 15 matches, as their meeting was postponed due to flood warnings.
