Hans Vanaken is again omnipresent at Club Brugge this season and remains important for Blauw-Zwart. He is already an icon of the Club, but has no plans to stop just yet.
The midfielder has been active for Club Brugge for ten years, but would like to continue for a while. Playing for Blauw-Zwart for fourteen years, like table guest Gert Verheyen at Extra Time, is certainly also an option.
“I hope I can reach fourteen years,” Vanaken says Extra Time. “I still have two years of contract, but I will have to extend that. That has not been discussed yet, but it would be nice,” he said.
And for Verheyen there is little doubt that Club Brugge itself would like to continue with the midfielder. “He will get that contract extension,” he said.
