Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, will be present alongside the Moroccan international, Achraf Hakimi, this Monday, during the CAF 2024 Awards, at the Marrakech Congress Palace. The player is a strong candidate for the African Ballon d’Or.
“The president of PSG will travel to support the Moroccan right-back,” specifies Le Parisien, highlighting that the Lion of Atlas is an immutable executive of the French club.
The outlet reports that Hakimi and his president will not make the trip together. The Qatari must participate, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Lausanne, Switzerland, in a meeting of the UEFA executive committee.
The ceremony is expected to begin at 7 p.m. at the Marrakech Congress Palace, this Monday, December 16.
Hakimi competes with Simon Adingra, African champion in February with Ivory Coast, Serhou Guirassy, Guinean striker for Borussia Dortmund and Ademola Lookman, author of a hat-trick in the Europa League final with Atalanta.
Achraf Hakimi captained the Atlas Lions U23, bronze medalists during the French Olympics, before regaining the bracelet in the A team in October. He also won the French Cup-Ligue 1-Trophée des Champions treble with Paris Saint-Germain.
