The groups for the home European Championships were drawn in Lausanne.
Now it’s fixed. The Swiss national team is lucky in the group draw for the 2025 Women’s European Championship. Switzerland will meet Norway, Iceland and Finland.
Norway knows Pia Sundhage’s team from the last World Cup. At that time there was a 0-0 draw in the last group game. What’s more, the Swiss have already met the Norwegians twice in the Nations League in the spring. So the Nati avoids top-class players like England or the Netherlands.
The national team will play their opening game against Norway on July 2nd in Basel. On July 6th, Switzerland will meet Iceland in Bern. In the last group game on July 10th, the opponent in Geneva is Iceland.
These are the groups at a glance.
Group A
Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Finland
Group B
Spain, Italy, Belgium, Portugal
Group C
Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Poland
Group D
France, England, Netherlands, Wales
