Paulo Fonsecaduring the pre-match press conference for Milan – Genoa, which will be played tonight at 20:45 CET at San Siro, spoke about his outburst following Wednesday’s Champions League match.
In some ways, he even doubled down on his statements from earlier in the week. Specifically, Tuttosport quoted the Portuguese coach in its pages this morning with a headline attributed directly to Fonseca:
“Milan, the disease is arrogance.”
The subheading reads:
“Fonseca doesn’t back down; instead, he ups the ante: ‘I always tell the truth. We can make technical or tactical mistakes, but not in our attitude.’”
Furthermore, the subtitle adds:
“‘We sometimes face certain opponents this way: it’s not acceptable.’ Theo Hernandez and Calabria on the bench.”
On the field, there will be opportunities for the young talents of Milan Futuro. Notably, Alex Jimenez will start in place of the French full-back, while Mattia Liberali will take on the role of trequartista, as the usual starters and substitutes in that position are all unavailable.
