– RC (2-2): the tops and flops of the editorial staff

For this last championship match of the year 2024, the Racing Club de was traveling to . Twice in front, RC Lens saw the Auxerrois come back twice. In the end, the two teams part with a 2-2. Here is the editorial top/flop.

The tops

Neil El Aynaoui : Holder in midfield, Neil El Aynaoui was in charge of the first restart in the RCL game. From the start of the match, he distinguished himself with a good opening (6th). Then, he is ideally placed to take the center behind Labeau-Lascary and opens the scoring (22nd). Defensively, he was solid (40th) and, offensively, he offered good restarts.

Przemyslaw Frankowski : Great performance from the Polish full-back. He defended very high and won many of his duels. Offensively, it was on his side that the Sang et Or attack leaned. His understanding with Labeau-Lascary was good. He is credited with a good counter-attack (38th) and offered a decisive pass to Nzola just before half-time (45th).

Rémy Labeau-Lascary : Placed on the right side of the RC Lens attack, Rémy Labeau-Lascary bit the touchline. Defensively, he never forgot to help Frankowski (26th and 30th). Offensively, he was restless by going deep (27th). Moreover, it is from his side that the first Lensois goal comes, since, on his overflow, he serves back El Aynaoui for the opening score. He did not drop in intensity in the second period either defensively (56th, 61st) or offensively (53rd). He was replaced due to injury by Sotoca.

Brother Nzola : What a deliverance this goal in the 45th minute. Because until then, Mbala Nzola was experiencing some difficulties in the Auxerre area. He has a first big opportunity at the start of the match (6th), but the Auxerre goalkeeper releases his shot. Then, he harvests Frankowski’s counterattack in the 38th minute.

The flops

Adrien Thomasson : The midfielder was in more difficulty during this meeting. He hasn’t looked as comfortable as he has since the start of the season. He was responsible for the foul that led to the equalizing goal from a free kick in the first half and he lost more balls than usual. He is also beaten by Sinayoko during the cross on the second goal.

Anass Zaroury : On his left side, the Lensois tried, but never weighed. Apart from these two strikes from more than 20 meters, Anass Zaroury experienced a lot of difficulty. He was replaced by Deiver Machado.

Angelo Fulgini : While RC Lens dominated the first period, Angelo Fulgini was quite transparent during these 45 minutes. The Blood and Gold seemed to be out of time. He was replaced by Pereira Da Costa.
