LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Miller Moss is a good demonstration of this twist on an old saying: When it comes to Louisville — he could beat them, and join them.
The USC quarterback who threw for 376 yards and six touchdowns in the Trojans’ 42-28 win over Louisville in last year’s Holiday Bowl, has committed to Louisville, his agent confirmed to several sources Saturday.
Louisville coach Jeff Brohm, attending the Cardinals’ basketball game in Rupp Arena, left his seats midway through the first half to take the call, according to Jody Demling, who was providing commentary on the game for the Louisville Radio Network.
Moss sat in courtside seats in the KFC Yum! Center for Louisville’s win over UTEP earlier this week, and subsequently visited with Louisville coaches and toured its facilities.
He fits nicely into a mold established by Brohm, who has taken experienced quarterbacks and helped them advance their careers. Jack Plummer came to Louisville and led the Cardinals to an appearance in the ACC Championship game. Tyler Shough came in this season after being plagued by injuries, and not only played the entire season but was outstanding, throwing for 3,195 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Moss, who backed up Caleb Williams before taking over when he opted out of the Holiday Bowl, started nine games for USC before being benched in favor of a younger QB.
Before that, he threw for 2,555 yards and 18 touchdowns, but a rash of interceptions in his final games helped lead to USC coach Lincoln Riley making a change.
Moss is a redshirt senior with two years of eligibility remaining.
ESPN ranks him as the No. 3 quarterback available in the portal, and the No. 10-rated player overall, in its transfer portal rankings.
