Miss France 2025: at 34, Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss Martinique, wins the election as beauty queen

And the winner is… Miss , Angélique Angarni-Filopon, was elected Miss 2025 at the end of the 95th edition of the beauty contest broadcast this Saturday, December 14 on TF 1. The name of the lucky winner was announced shortly before 1 a.m. by Sylvie Vartan, the president of the jury this year, on the stage of the Arena Futuroscope near (Vienna). The crowned one beat Miss -Pas-de , Miss Corse, Miss Guadeloupe and Miss Côte d’Azur at the end of a spectacular evening lasting almost three hours.

“Emotion”, “glamor” and “glitter”. Or the three ingredients promised by Jean-Pierre Foucault at the end of “8 p.m.” on TF 1 this Saturday. At the age of 77, the host puts on his tuxedo as master of ceremonies for this great cathodic mass for the 30th time in his career. Objective of the evening: find among thirty new contenders aged 18 to 34 the successor to Eve Gilles, crowned last year in .

A room in turmoil

As for “glitter”, we are quickly delighted by… Jean-Pierre Foucault. On a suspended platform, the mischievous presenter opens the evening by wearing a “disco ball” jacket that will make your eyes peel off. An outfit perfectly in keeping with the disco choreography performed below by the candidates of this 2025 vintage. A first dance in a long series for them. This 95th edition has the theme “The Miss’s Grand Ball”. On the menu, no less than nine paintings inspired by country, salsa, and even tango.

In front of a room of 4,000 excited spectators, the bell bottom pants quickly gave way to chain mail dresses reminiscent of the creations of Paco Rabanne. Exit the 1970s, we are well into the Sixties as the music of France Gall (“Wax doll, sound doll”) or Sheila (“School is over”) makes us understand. Member of this year’s 100% female jury, dancer Fauve Hautot lets herself be carried away by the glamorous twist of the first 10 Misses parading on stage. You would almost expect the “Dancing with the Stars” juror to pull out her rating board. She will later “teach” Eve Gilles that she is joining the next season of the show presented by Camille Combal.

On the Miss France side, the scenes follow one another, taking us to America to the sound of country music or to the 1990s with the Spice Girls. A highlight every year, the recorded sequence of regional costumes keeps all its promises. Surrounded by a fortified castle at the waist, Miss Normandie makes you smile, just like the Breton candidate in the yellow raincoat. The representative from Guyana shines with her dress drawing the giant petals of a red flower behind her. But it is Miss Île-de-France who wins this competition within the competition with a “Moulin Rouge” creation featuring wings rotating on her head.

Tribute to Jean-Pierre Foucault

After the traditional swimsuit parade, it is now time for a tribute to Jean-Pierre Foucault. Crowned Miss France in 1998 by the host of TF 1, Sophie Thalmann comes to tickle him on stage for her 30th election. Talking about his little quirks, like always having a fan in front of him, she gives him a Miss scarf with his name on it.

This light moment gives way to the more serious one, the eviction of the first 15 competitors, including the notable candidate from the Ile-de-France region. During the presentation speeches of those still in the running, the candidate from Martinique, oldest of the competition at 34 years old, shines with her maturity. It is less fluid for the representative of Corsica who, under the influence of emotion, skips part of her speech, before catching herself.

Thierry Baumann, Mr. “the votes are very close” and “everything is still possible”, does not take long to enter the arena to encourage us to vote again and again. Especially when the five finalists (Miss Corsica, Miss Côte d’Azur, Miss Martinique, Miss Nord-Pas-de Calais and Miss Guadeloupe) are finally known, shortly after midnight. Because “everything is reset”. Nevertheless, it is Miss Martinique who has established herself in the hearts of the public.
