Like a week earlier, Isère civil servants are called to mobilization this Thursday, December 12 to defend public service professions (caregivers, teachers in particular). Disruptions are therefore expected in schools and transport.
Unions denounce massive job cuts and call for preserving jobs and know-how in the face of restructuring. “If the government is unstable, we, on the other hand, will be stable in the offensive response to be given. We will continue to build the balance of power necessary to defend our rights,” assures the CGT.
The Grenoble demonstration will start at 10 a.m. from the station. The procession will join at 11h a so-called “industry emergency” gathering in front of the prefecture, Place de Verdun. At 12:30 p.m., a solidarity picnic will be held on the Pont-de-Claix chemical platformechoing the call of the National Federation of Chemical Industries.
At the call of the CGT, joined by Solidaires and the FSU, a day of national mobilization is being held, this Thursday, December 12, to defend employment and industry, “in the face of more than 300 social plans registered since September” , according to the CGT.
Strikes are also announced in the department, notably at Valéo in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier with a picket line.
A gathering is also planned in front of the Roussillon – Les Roches chemical platform from 7 a.m. and all morning.
