But while the candidates are looking forward to the big finale, Sat.1 is looking at the ratings. Despite strong competition from “Ninja Warrior Germany” on RTL, which boasted a 12.8 percent market share among 14 to 49 year olds, “The Voice of Germany” is impressive. The show reached 1.29 million viewers overall and a market share of 10.8 percent in the classic target group.

RTL2 surprised with the highest total reach of 970,000 viewers for the film “Olympus Has Fallen”. Vox and ProSieben were in a similar range, with ProSieben particularly appealing to younger viewers with “The Dark Knight Rises” and achieving 8.5 percent market share.
While the major broadcasters achieved solid results, Kabel Eins almost went under with a meager 2.0 percent market share. The daily market share of 2.9 percent was anything but exhilarating, which made Kabel Eins the weakest of the major programs.
