“Working, having a place in society, being recognized, that’s the concern of every member of this city,” declares Ericka Bareigts, in preamble to the launch of this forum.
With a policy in favor of employment, the city supports around thirty specialized associations to the tune of 3.5 million euros.
“A city with almost 30% unemployment is unimaginable. So what we are doing is looking for the right means to find people so that they have access to training and work,” insists the mayor. “Our proactive integration policy has enabled the city to invest nearly 26 million euros in integration projects. These policies have benefited 67,000 Dionysians,” she announces. Listen:
– 66 employment actions with France Travail –
14 job-dating events, with 371 offers filled, have been organized in recent years. 3 million euros are invested annually in the local mission, which supports young people in their integration process.
Since 2021, 65 joint operations have been organized in collaboration with France Travail. It is within the framework of this partnership that this forum is organized this Wednesday.
“Our idea is to go where people are. Sometimes, those who are most in difficulty need to be confident, and there is nothing like the environment where they live,” emphasizes Ericka Bareigts.
“There are around fifty positions to be filled,” specifies France Travail. “You have to connect, get in touch with the company, and get away from the CV method a little. Meeting a job isn't just about a CV, it's also sometimes about taking immersions, breaking away from stereotypes and prejudices. Job seekers are present, employers are able to open up their ways of doing things to create possibilities.”
