Alongside a bulletin published this Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Météo France reports a “parade of disruptions” expected at the end of the week in the country. What to expect?
Towards a first weekend of December meteorologically animated ? In a bulletin dated Tuesday 3, Météo France is already planning for the weekend: a period during which the service plans “a parade of disruptions”. What to expect in the country?
From Thursday
As forecasters announce on their website, the phenomenon will begin on Thursday, with “a disturbance entered during the night“, which will “extend over a large north-western part of the country”. Although weak, this same disturbance will be relayed by another, “most active during the night from Thursday to Friday accompanied by gusts of wind southwest then west”. Météo France mentions a particularly impacted area on Friday morning, namely a large sector located between the Pyrenees, the Massif Central and the Alps.
A “hectic” weekend
Forecasters then look ahead to a weekend, which they say will “should remain agitated with the passage of a fairly hollow depression from the British Isles to Germany. A situation which could cause “Saturday strong gusts of wind even in France, as well as copious rains.
The north will be closely scrutinized: on the west side, it will be impacted by “cold air”at the back of this depression, and on the east side, from Saturday evening, “a risk of snow at low altitude will need to be monitored”. A risk which “could persist, or even spread over the following days”.
