This Saturday, November 30, Mika was on the air on France 2 as godfather of the Telethon. Many stars came to support the event, including Kendji Girac. The reunion between the singers was moving.
Gathered for a good cause. The big evening of the 38th edition of the Telethon took place on France 2 this Saturday, November 30. It was the singer Mika who hosted this show in his capacity as godfather, but several personalities also came to support the fundraising for research. Among them, the singer Kendji Girac. We were able to witness a nice supportive hug between him and Mika, his former coach at The Voice. The native of Périgueux, big winner of season 3, had been brought to this victory thanks to the interpreter of Relax. During the blind audition, Mika was the only one to respond to the voice of young Kendji, 18 years old at the time.
Ten years later, their complicity seems intact. And this, despite the Kendji affair which shook up the press. Last April, the 28-year-old singer had to be hospitalized after being shot. He had claimed to have wanted to fake a suicide after an argument with his partner. After the incident, Eva's dad changed his version several times. The case was finally dismissed by the Mont-de-Marsan prosecutor. The press release indicated “that given his alcoholism and his cocaine intake, Kendji Girac was not aware of what he was doing with this weapon and that he did not want to put pressure on his partner.”

During an interview given to the former television channel Non Stop People in 2017 after his statue entered the Grévin Museum, Kendji gave news of his relationship with the Lebanese singer. “We call each other. He also always works a lot, he's a real professional. But from time to time, we manage to cross paths, sometimes in foreign cities, it happens to us”, he explained, rejoicing in the fact that Mika is “very proud of [lui]” and its success. “I will thank him all my life”had added Eva Longoria's friend, gratefully.
