Buts : Bynoe-Gittens (27e) for BVB // Musiala (85e) for the Bavarians
The leader is still standing.
The clash of the twelfth day of the Bundesliga between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich did not find a winner (1-1). Getting off to a bad start after the Yellow and Black opened the score, Vincent Kompany's men had an excellent second period to come back. They remain leaders and thus avoid their first defeat of the season in the league.
At home, Dortmund had not entered perfectly into their classicin particular forced to bail out the faults on the sides in which Leroy Sané proved elusive, but ineffective with the shot (8e) or the center (10e). Borussia finally surprised Bayern with their first real action of the match. Launched at full speed on his left side following an express counter, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens calmly crossed his shot against Manuel Neuer (1-0, 27e)to open the scoring like a big one. The 20-year-old Englishman (51e) and Marcel Sabitzer (61e) could have widened the gap, but came up against Konrad Laimer and Neuer respectively.
Orphaned by Harry Kane, who was injured after half an hour of play, the Bavarians struggled to get back on track, for a long time in vain. Thomas Müller believed he was, once again, the hero by taking back, alone and at close range, a cross from Jamal Musiala, before seeing Gregor Kobel emerge and save his team (50e). After seeing his long shot flirt with the right post (59e), Musiala equalized with a header from a marvelous cross from Michael Olise (1-1, 85e) while Niklas Süle was lying on the ground, completely stunned after a free kick into the wall.
The Westfalenstadion has no longer celebrated a victory in the classic since 2018, and so it’s still not for this season.
