Florent Peyre tells AlloCiné about the filming of the scene on the port which appears in episode three of season 1 of “Commandant Saint-Barth”. The comedian reveals that many elements were improvised.

Thursday November 28, 2024, the investigations of Commandant Saint-Barth continue on TF1 from 9:10 p.m. In this new detective series from TF1, Florent Peyre plays the leading role. He plays a free-spirited cop returning to his home island to solve cases, while facing secrets from his past…

A shoot and constraints

In tonight's first episode, our hero embarks on a thrilling chase in a fishing port. The comedian (who was injured at the very beginning of filming!) also returned with AlloCiné to the filming of this scene… which did not go at all as planned!

Florent Peyre tells us: “On a set, we always try to keep in mind that we are having fun, that we are playing in the literal sense of the word. This is what keeps the energy and the pleasure of working, in my opinion. There, we arrived on the platform and our director Denis Thybaud told us: 'OK, that wasn't how I saw it at all!' (laughs)

“We will create in the moment”

We couldn't do certain things planned at the start because we hadn't seen the location yet, in fact… But those are classic filming constraints.explains the interpreter of Commander Saint-Barth. So, it was quite magical afterwards. We said to ourselves: 'Come on, let's create it right away'. So we got back to it and that's where the relationship is interesting with your director, when suddenly he gives you his confidence and gives you confidence in yourself.

Here, we improvised by proposing things and we put everything in place despite the smell, the heat… Towards the end of the scene, when I take out the fish instead of my weapon, it's really a find from our director”reveals Florent Peyre (who gives his strong opinion about his naked scenes in the series).

He was trying to put a fish in the net so that we could see it in the scenery and suddenly he burst out laughing because the idea came to him! So we did it even though it delayed the end of the day. And having seen the scene on screen, I believe it works for the viewers.”

A sequence to discover in Commandant Saint-Barth, this Thursday, November 28 at 9:10 p.m. on TF1.
