The trial of Francky D., driver responsible for the death of Yannick Alléno's son, Antoine, in May 2022, took place on October 31 in in the presence of the starred chef. This Thursday, November 28, the judgment fell.

The testimony of Francky D., the driver who knocked down and killed Yannick Alléno's son, Antoine, in May 2022 in Paris, was unbearable for the starred chef and his ex-wife Caroline. Only half remembering the evening of the tragedy, the 27-year-old young man was on trial for involuntary manslaughter with unintentional injury and violent theft on October 31 at the Paris court. Almost a month later, this Thursday, November 28, the verdict fell, as reported by BFMTV: seven years in prison with a ten-year driving ban for Francky D.

A severe sentence, commensurate with the suffering inflicted on the parents and siblings of Antoine, who died at just 24 years old while riding a scooter with Anisa, his kitchen assistant. The man also had his license revoked, with a ban on retaking the driving test for five years. Appearing free and under judicial supervision, Francky D. will therefore go to prison, his sentence, which he can still appeal, having been pronounced with provisional execution. In 2018, the young man had already been sentenced to three months in prison, which he had not served, for traffic offenses.

Blood alcohol levels, lack of license and stolen car: the night that cost Antoine Alléno his life

As a reminder, at the end of October, the prosecution had requested eight years of imprisonment accompanied by a committal warrant and a ban on driving for ten years against the defendant. “He accumulated the imprudence which led to the tragedy”insisted the president in particular during the hearing on November 28. On May 8, 2022, the convicted person drove, drunk and without a license, an Audi stolen the same evening in the heart of Paris.

Arriving in the 7th arrondissement, limited to 30 km/h, he was traveling at 120 km/h. This is where the tragedy occurred, injuring Anisa and instantly killing Antoine Alléno, whose protective helmet was found a few meters away.

Before losing control of the vehicle and hitting them, the driver had collided with two taxis at a red light. After the accident, Francky D. did not call for help and fled on foot before being quickly apprehended. Still according to the BFMTV audience report, the driver had 1.56 g/l of alcohol in his blood when he was arrested at 1:35 a.m.
