The tropics remain quiet on Thanksgiving Day as a series of cold fronts move across Florida and thunderstorms are possible today.

Tropical cyclone activity is not expected for the next seven days and the Atlantic hurricane season officially ends Saturday.

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible today in the Panhandle and Big Bend, along the I-10 corridor.

The season’s coldest temperatures are expected to arrive late this weekend and early next week, with the first freeze likely for the Panhandle and Big Bend Sunday night, according to the Florida Division of Emergency Management.

North Florida “feels-like” temperature could fall into the 20s and 30s Sunday and Monday morning.
