Aston Villa were held to a goalless draw against Juventus in the Champions League, and the supporters were left angered by one terrible decision in the match.
Aston Villa entered this match in a poor run of form after failing to win their previous six matches in all competitions.
With Unai Emery ordering a response from his players, the hosts delivered a much-improved performance, although they found it tough to break down a resilient Juventus defence.
Lucas Digne clipped the bar with his free kick on the stroke of half-time and John McGinn was denied from close range in the second before Morgan Rogers thought he’d scored the winner in the final minute of added time.
However, Diego Carlos was deemed to have fouled the goalkeeper, and the goal was disallowed, prompting a mass outrage in Villa Park and on social media.

When Rogers slammed the ball home from close range and wheeled away in celebration, he thought he’d just earned his side an invaluable three points to move them back into the top eight.
But, Carlos was penalised for an incredibly soft foul on the goalkeeper, as the Brazilian barely touched him before he dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes.
Reacting to the farcical decision on X, formerly Twitter, one supporter said: “I’m genuinely speechless. That’s the worst call I’ve ever seen. We knew this ref was out to get us but far out”.
“Eyes on the ball, keeper misses the ball but that’s a foul?” another replied.
“Joke decision. That doesn’t get disallowed at the other end,” a third responded.
“That is the worst refereeing performance I have seen since the days of Uriah Rennie,” a fifth said.
“Robbed…” a sixth replied.

A goalless draw at Villa Park isn’t the worst result but when three points were stolen away in a matter of seconds, it does feel like a bitter pill to swallow.
Emery’s men should be celebrating another hard-earned victory against a European heavyweight but instead, the Villans have to take the point and move on.
Luckily, from the start of the night, a draw moved Aston Villa up to 10th in the Champions League table – level on points with sixth-place Bayer Leverkusen and five behind the pacesetters Liverpool.
With only three matches left to go, automatically qualifying for the last 16 remains a real possibility, as they’ll aim to squeeze into the top eight by the final matchday.
