From November 27, children and young people can enjoy the new youth series Waiko on Ketnet and VRT MAX. Music plays a central role in this special series, with songs written by the popular singer and big Football fan Metejoor.
Waiko tells the story of a fair that unexpectedly becomes a hotspot for alien visitors. Teenage alien Nova and her three best friends do everything they can to keep the arrival of the aliens a secret. The adventure is made extra special by the music, which is woven into the story.
Joris Van Rossem, better known as Metejoor, composed the songs for the series. “I am very honored that I was asked to make songs for this program,” he says The Latest News. “It’s great that I was able to write about topics that can contribute to a child’s education.”
The series uses the acoustic versions of his songs, while the pop versions are available on streaming platforms.
