After his victory against Siteu, this Sunday at the National Arena, Modou Lô underwent an anti-doping test. His unfortunate opponent did not report to the team from the National Anti-Doping Sports Organization (Onads) responsible for taking urine samples.

The leader of Rock Energy had to be patient before fulfilling his obligation to ONADS. “We spent two hours before leaving the stadium because Modou Lô had to urinate twice,” reveals Khadim Gadiaga, member of the Parcellois management, in Les Échos.

The King of the arenas complied without flinching with this exercise, indicates Gadiaga, because first of all it is a provision of the wrestling regulations. “That the wrestlers understand that the tests can be done unexpectedly, both at the stadium and at their home and at the training sites,” recalled the former president of the Cng Alioune Sarr in 2014. If those who have to take the samples pass two or three times without finding them, they are considered doped people. And the sanctions can fall.

Then, continues the former wrestler, the Siteu heartthrob is surrounded by people who encourage him to comply with his obligations. “Modou Lô accepted [de se soumettre aux tests antidopage] because he is surrounded by intellectuals and good staff. […] Good coaching is very important for a wrestler.”

A way of throwing a dig at Siteu whose absence from the Onads tests annoys Khadim Gadiaga. “It is important for wrestlers to know the contents of the regulations. Wrestling is a sport which is governed by texts which must be respected,” adds the person close to Modou Lô.

Contacted by Les Échos, “Ms. Goudiaby” of Onads announces that her organization will “meet to not only see the results of the Xaragne Lô test, but also to rule on Siteu, who categorically refused to be tested.”
