Météo-France has indicated storms, avalanches and floods in 8 departments on yellow alert.

Lower Normandy, Finistère, Haute-Savoie, Ardèche, Gard and Pas-de-Calais are affected by the alerts transmitted in the latest Météo-France bulletin. Here is the status of weather alerts at 5:00 a.m. this November 26.

Risk of storms in a department
A yellow vigilance level has been declared by Météo-France due to storms expected in Finistère. Strong winds are forecast, reaching 68 km/h. The cumulative rainfall will locally show 19.35 mm, in addition to a risk of strong electrical activity and falling hailstones.

In addition, the snow cover will be very unstable in Haute-Savoie. The snow will be wet, fresh, and spontaneous snow slides may occur. At the same time, changes in temperature and weather could accelerate the melting of snow, and surrounding watercourses could react downstream, causing possible flooding.

In addition, Météo-France services have announced a yellow level “flood” vigilance for Lower Normandy, Ardèche, Gard and Pas-de-Calais.
