A little closer to a thousand. Cristiano Ronaldo added two additional goals to his tally this Monday, November 25. The Portuguese scored twice in Al-Nassr's victory against Qatar's Al-Gharafa in the Asian Champions League (3-1). The five-time Ballon d'Or winner scored his 912th and 913th career goals.
In the 46th minute of the game, the former Merengue perfectly adjusted his header from six meters. Then in the 64th CR7 stood out again, scoring with a nice shot into the box.
Goal of 1,000 career goals
At 39 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to panic the counters. The Portuguese revealed that he aimed to reach 1,000 career goals. Rewarded, on November 13, with the Platinum prize by the Portuguese federation for having crossed the bar of 200 selections for the national team, he confided during the ceremony that he was not obsessed by this number.
“I'll be honest, I'm responsible for this. I have said publicly that I want to achieve the thousand goals and now it seems like I only want to achieve these thousand goals. My goal is to live in the moment and see how my legs react. If this thousand arrives so much the better, otherwise no one has scored more goals than me, so…”, declared the Al Nassr striker.
