The good news was teased by Karine Le Marchand a few weeks ago, but the production had kept the protagonists of this great request a secret. We know today that it was Mickaël, a dairy cow breeder in Morbihan, who asked for the hand of his suitor Nadiahis crush from speed dating. A few days ago, Mickaël and Nadia agreed to answer questions from Tele-Leisure about this meeting that changed their lives. And we can even tell you that the farmer was moved to tears when he recalled the first time he saw the beautiful Montpellier!

Télé-Leisure: How long have you been planning the proposal? Was this in your head before you even started the show?
Michael : I couldn't imagine living together without union. For me, marriage is something important, it is part of my values. And when you have the pleasure of meeting a person like Nadia, I couldn't see myself living like that with friends, I wanted her to really be my wife and that's why I asked her for her hand. I'm 56 years old and I couldn't see myself living any other way.
Why do it on the balance sheet?
Michael: It was to show her the great love I have for her. The second thing is that he is a very valuable person and I really wanted to give him importance and a beautiful statement. And to do it on screen was the most beautiful statement I could make. I had the opportunity to do it, I took advantage of it. If we hadn't done Love is in the meadowwe wouldn't be together and if I had proposed afterwards, for me it wouldn't have been the same thing.
Nadia, did you expect this marriage proposal?
I knew he had that in the back of his mind but not necessarily for the record. I said to myself all the same, there is already a certain stress of doing this assessment in front of Karine, I said to myself that it would perhaps do a lot. Finally, I didn't imagine that he would propose at that time! Knowing him, he always wants everything to be perfect, etc. It's quite an exercise to propose anyway.

Who did you inform?
Nadia : Our families will learn about it by watching the show, they don't know about it. While we're at it, we're doing something out of the ordinary so we're doing it until the end.
Michael: We're on a reality TV show and we know each other like that, so I had this project in mind. I told friends in February that I wouldn't leave this show without a wedding, but hey, I didn't think it was going to happen either! I threw that sentence around like that. But upon meeting Nadia… Even our children don't know about it. There is one person who knows, it's my daughter. We have an evening planned with friends to watch the show and we will announce it then.
Have you set a date for the wedding?
Nadia : Not yet because we are waiting for the end of the show, the broadcast, etc. We don't have our minds in it, we're too busy, Mickaël has professional projects. We really want to finish all of that so that we can be available in our heads.
It won't be before 2026 then?
Michael: Oh we don't know, I'm not giving a date. The whole of season 19 is invited, they know that. And we will invite Karine!

Do you want to have a big wedding, followed by cameras or something smaller?
Michael: For the moment we don't know, we haven't made a decision at all. The only decision I made was to marry Nadia. Now she knows my message, she knows my heart and that's what's important. The rest will fall into place quickly. But I have a few little ideas, I know where it's going to take place, in which room, I have some decoration ideasI have plans in my head. But for now I've had enough but I don't want to take on more.
After thinking about it, didn't you say to yourself that it was too early in your relationship?
Nadia : We are over 50 years old, when we experience a love like that, which we now know how to recognize, the power of our love, the chance we have to have truly found our alter ego, we don't ask ourselves 10,000 questions. I know he's the man I've always been looking for. And OK I was divorced once but I still believe in love and I will be very proud to carry his name.
Michael : You have to believe in love and you have an experience from your failures. She knew for her part what she wanted and what she didn't want and for me it's a bit the same thing. At 56, you know what you expect from a person.

What do you like about each other?
Michael: What's beautiful about Nadia is that she accepts my life and my constraints very well. She will never call me for example and tell me “you didn’t come home, you didn’t do this, or that”. We have a respect for each other which is enormous.. We share all the little things in life, it's very beautiful to live. Especially since I haven't had the pleasure of having a lot of life as a couple, so to experience this life as a couple at 56 is really beautiful.
Nadia : I also come knowingly, I wasn't going to blame you for your life. I try to be supportive, a listening ear. We can be 100% ourselves without fear or anything, there is a serenity of being with each other, of surrendering completely, without ulterior motives. We are not perfect, we are human beings but we understand each other.
Michael: When you see Nadia, you see me and vice versa. We really have the same image, the same desires, we were asked questions and we agree every time
Have you heard from Rozenn?
Michael: No, for us, it happened from Sunday to Thursday, so she left on Wednesday morning. I asked the journalist to call back to see if she had arrived home safely. She sent back a message that she was happy to have had a good week with us, that she was very happy about it all and that she had a good time, that she wished us both the best and it stopped there.
