A DHL cargo plane, coming from Germany, crashed a few km from Vilnius airport, Lithuania, on Monday, November 25, after an emergency landing. One of the four crew members, a Spaniard, died. The German Foreign Minister does not rule out external intervention.
A few kilometers from Vilnius airport (Lithuania), Monday November 25 at 5:30 a.m., a plane attempted an emergency landing for a still unknown reason. The Boeing 737 crashed to the ground. Departing from Leipzig in Germany, it crashed in a residential area, without causing any casualties. One of the four crew members, a Spaniard, died. The other three are injured.
The Lithuanian authorities do not favor any avenue, but the German government suggests possible sabotage. “We must seriously ask ourselves, with our Lithuanian and Spanish partners, whether this is an accident or a new hybrid incident“, said Annalena Baerbock, German Foreign Minister.
Last week, communications cables were cut in the Baltic Sea. The incident is in addition to the incendiary packages found and defused during the summer in DHL depots, in Germany and Great Britain, with the shadow of Russia.
