In comments made on Gaston Productions, Max Mbergane, close to Siteu, thinks the same thing as his protégé. For him, the Shoulder of the King of Arenas touched the ground and therefore, Siteu had to be declared the winner.
“Modou Lô hit the ground with his shoulder, which is a clear fall. I heard Tapha Gueye say that the fall happened while Siteu was outside the enclosure but that’s not what the rules say. If the action begins in the enclosure and ends behind the bags, the fall must be validated. This is also how the fight between Siteu and Zarco ended,” he said to contradict Moustapha Guèye’s analysis after the fight.
