From agricultural campaigns to political campaigns. The Sainte-Catherine Fair in Vesoul has become a playground for politicians nationally. This Monday, November 25, former Prime Minister Édouard Philippe and the president of the National Rally Jordan Bardella both strolled through the aisles and met the Haute-Saône farmers.
A discreet visit for Édouard Philippe, alongside the mayor of Vesoul
Édouard Philippe was the first to arrive at the Fair, welcomed by the mayor of Vesoul, Alain Chrétienwho gave him, tradition requires, a little gingerbread pig covered in chocolate, with the inscription “Édouard president”. The former Prime Minister and president of the Horizons party then walked the aisles, only those of the agricultural fair.
The opportunity to attend the prize giving ceremony for slaughter animal competitions and equine competitions, but also to interact with farmers, in the midst of an agricultural crisis.
A crowd bath for Jordan Bardella
Another atmosphere for the arrival of Jordan Bardella. The president of the National Rally was expected by some 300 peoplerue de l'Aigle-Noir, below the prefecture. As when he came last year, he enjoyed a real crowd bath, acclaimed in particular by very young Vésulians, taking the time to take selfies and sign his just published book.
