Gusts of wind caused various damage during the night from Sunday to Monday in Haute-Loire. We take stock of the consequences of storm Bert.
Haute-Loire remains on orange alert for the winds until 4 p.m. Monday. The gusts were recorded in Chadrac with 116 km/h, Le Mazet-Saint-Voy at 106 km/h, Monistrol-sur-Loire at 105 km/h.
The trees sometimes gave way and blocked roads: this was the case on Sunday in La Chapelle-Geneste on municipal road 6 at 3 p.m., in “Raffy” in Queyrières at 8 p.m., in Cistrières around 4:40 a.m., in Siaugues -Sainte-Marie at 5:10 a.m. This also concerned telephone poles in Montfaucon-en-Velay at 12 p.m., at Saint-Didier-en-Velay, at “Granges”. A line fell on the road in Chastel. In Bessamorel, on the RN88, a green block at the exit was pushed onto the dual carriageway by the wind.
In Saint-Just-près-Brioude, a roof ended up on the road on Monday around 7:40 a.m.
In Dunières, the construction site of the synthetic football field suffered damage. The synthetic turf flew away where it had not yet been glued. It will take two days of work to put the rollers back in place.
