MP Industry Group, a subsidiary of MEN Industry Group and a key player in the manufacturing of plastic components for the automobile, has inaugurated its first factory in Tanger Automotive City, in the Tanger Med industrial platform.
This project, with an investment of 437.6 million dirhams, covers 35,000 m² and integrates advanced plastic injection technologies. The factory, which will create 150 direct jobs, is part of the Renault ecosystem and aims to strengthen local production of automobile parts.
Presiding over the ceremony, Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Commerce, welcomed this strategic initiative: “This project reflects the attractiveness of our industrial platform and contributes to densifying local value chains. Equipped with cutting-edge technologies, this factory consolidates our competitiveness and promotes the sustainable development of the Moroccan automotive sector.”
Ahmed Bennis, general director of Tanger Med Zones, underlined the importance of this partnership with Romanian investors: “We aspire to strengthen their international competitiveness while supporting industrial integration in Morocco.”
For Jean Drugescu, CEO of Metaplast and MP Industry Group, this project marks a turning point: “With the growth of the automobile industry and African potential, we are convinced of our promising future in Morocco.”
The factory, in line with sustainability issues, is equipped with photovoltaic panels and plastic waste recycling systems.
