The information was revealed by our colleagues atEurope 1Friday November 22, 2024. Christopher Sebaoun, elected in (Indre-et-), was arrested and placed in police custody, Thursday November 21, 2024, as part of an investigation into drug trafficking. His home was also searched.

Information confirmed at The New Republic by Catherine Sorita-Minard, public prosecutor of Tours, Friday November 22.

The municipal councilor, delegated to questions relating to the Loire and the Cher, to the preservation of river heritage and aquifer resources, remains presumed innocent.

“At this stage, no additional information is known regarding possible legal proceedings against him, specifies the City of Tours in a press release. In the event of indictment, the Mayor will suspend Mr. Sebaoun from all his delegations for the duration of the investigation. »
