India star batter Virat Kohli continued his abysmal form in Test cricket as he got dismissed after scoring just 5 runs off 12 deliveries in the first Border-Gavaskar series Test at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
Kohli was left bamboozled by Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood whose delivery generated extra bounce and ended up nicking the 36-year-old’s bat. The ball safely travelled into the hands of wicketkeeper Alex Carey and Kohli had to make his way back to the dugout.
This is the first time ever that the Indian batter got dismissed in single-digits in Perth and the fourth time that Hazlewood has been able to get the better of him in the longest format of the game.
After the disappointing dismissal, Kohli started getting heavily trolled on social media with some fans even labelling him as a ‘walking wicket’.
