Fadela, alias Fafa, has been missing since November 4, after a weekend at a rave party on the Sorcières plateau, in Ariège (Occitanie). Residents of the region have been organizing searches every day since November 7, when her disappearance was reported, to try to find the fifty-year-old. A man, an ex-soldier, was indicted for his “murder”.
Without news of Fadela, the inhabitants of the region increased their searches around the village of Biert and the Col de la Crouzette, in Ariège, to try to find her. Since November 7, they have been meeting every morning at 10 a.m. to look for possible clues that could help locate this 50-year-old mother. The police suspect François P., a former soldier “known for acts of violence” of having murdered Fadela. The suspect was indicted for “murder”, reports La Dépêche du Midi.
The ex-soldier lived secluded in “a sort of open-air dump with carcasses of abandoned cars and caravans”, details the same source. The search carried out on these premises allowed investigators to collect two pieces of evidence: a voice message revealing an argument between Fadela and the suspect, and the testimony of a person claiming to have seen the two protagonists arguing. When questioned, the former soldier denied any involvement in the disappearance of the fifty-year-old.

The accused and the missing woman knew each other, according to Mr. Guy Dedieu. “These are two friends, neither more nor less,” clarified François P.’s lawyer, adding that his client “had no reason to want to attempt the life of this woman”, described as a woman “jovial, sociable and good-natured”. “She was a party girl who really liked to have fun. He was also someone who made friends with everyone,” attests an acquaintance.
Originally from Tarn, Fadela lives with her partner in a rented apartment in Ariège, a town where she moved recently. The fifty-year-old is the mother of a daughter living in Agde, and grandmother of a little boy whom she took care of. Recently, she felt “threatened by someone close to her,” confides an acquaintance.
