Snow showers expected in South-Central PA on Friday

10 TO 20MPH TODAY. OUR NEWS EIGHT STORM TEAM FORECAST STARTS OUT WITH A HEALTHY DOSE OF SUNSHINE. IT’S GOING TO BE BREEZY. THE WIND WILL BE PICKING UP, AND TEMPERATURES WILL QUICKLY JUMP INTO THE 40S FROM THE 30S. RIGHT NOW FOR THE AFTERNOON. INCREASING CLOUDS A COUPLE OF SHOWERS OF THE RAIN VARIETY HERE 48 AND THEN THIS EVENING, MOSTLY CLOUDY WITH AN ISOLATED SHOWER, ABOUT 42. TONIGHT WE KEEP THE CLOUDS AROUND PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY. IT WILL BE BRISK AND CHILLY. THE WINDS STAY UP, SO WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE 30S IT IS GOING TO FEEL QUITE A BIT COOLER. EVEN LIKE THE MID TO UPPER 20S. TOMORROW AN IMPACT DAY BECAUSE YOU’RE GOING TO SEE THE FIRST FLAKES OF THE SEASON AREA WIDE. I DO THINK WE HAVE SOME LIGHT MORNING SNOW FALLING DURING THE MORNING RUSH OR AT LEAST DEVELOPING DURING THE MORNING RUSH, BUT THE ROADS SHOULD BE WET AFTERWARDS. WE’LL SEE RAIN SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON WITH LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATION. YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO GET AT ELEVATION TO GET SOME ACCUMULATION, AND THAT WILL MAINLY BE ON THE GRASS. TOMORROW’S HIGHS NEAR 40. LIVE RIGHT NOW IN GETTYSBURG. ROADS ARE WET FROM THE OVERNIGHT RAIN. ADAMS COUNTY, FRANKLIN COUNTY, YOU PICKED UP SOME OF THE LOWER END TOTALS, BUT SOME SPOTS, ESPECIALLY ALONG AND EAST OF THE SUSQUEHANNA RIVER, GOT CLOSE TO ONE INCH. RIGHT NOW IT’S 33. IN SELINSGROVE, 38 AND DRYING OUT IN HARRISBURG, CLEARING OUT IN LANCASTER 38 DEGREES, WHILE IT’S 36 IN LEWISTOWN. SO COMPARED TO THIS TIME YESTERDAY, LOOK AT THE TEMPERATURES. THE 24 HOUR TEMPERATURE CHANGE AROUND 10 TO 15 DEGREES COOLER ON THE PREDICTOR TODAY. WE’LL SEE WINDS PICKING UP 10 TO 20MPH OUT OF THE WEST NORTHWEST. TONIGHT. THOSE WINDS STAY BRISK. AND TOMORROW NO CHANGE. SO THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE WIND BLOWING. MAKE SURE YOU SECURE THOSE OUTDOOR DECORATIONS. HERE’S THE STORM TEAM LIVE RADAR NETWORK. THE FIRST BATCH OF RAIN LIFTING AWAY, LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING OFF TO OUR NORTHEAST. THIS AREA OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE GREAT LAKES IS STARTING TO DIE OFF, BUT IT’S GOING TO KICK A LOT OF COLD AIR OUR WAY TO GENERATE THAT SNOW. AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW. SO HERE’S WHAT THE PREDICTOR SHOWS. TODAY WE START OUT WITH A SUN. THEN WE SEE INCREASING CLOUDS AND A COUPLE OF SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. TONIGHT THERE COULD BE SOME PARTIAL CLEARING, BUT NOT FOR LONG. BY TOMORROW MORNING, CLOUDS FILL BACK IN AND SOME LIGHT SNOW DEVELOPS FROM NORTH TO SOUTH THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS. ROADS WILL BE WET AND THEN IN THE AFTERNOON THOSE SNOWFLAKES MIX WITH RAIN WILL BE UP TO ABOUT 40 FOR OUR HIGH TEMPERATURE. ALL OF THAT RAIN HITS THE ROAD LATE ON FRIDAY NIGHT AND THEN SATURDAY IS LOOKING MAINLY DRY. CAN’T RULE OUT A COUPLE OF TRAILING SHOWERS. I DO SEE CLOUDS HANGING TOUGH ON SATURDAY THOUGH, WITH HIGHS CLOSE TO 50, SO PREDICTOR ESTIMATED SNOWFALL TOTALS. YOU SEE AT ELEVATION YOU’RE GOING TO DO BETTER. I FAVOR AREAS, ESPECIALLY OUT TO OUR WEST NEAR JOHNSTOWN AND SOMERSET FOR SOME HIGHER TOTALS. EVEN IN PARTS OF NORTHERN LEBANON, DAUPHIN AND SCHUYLKILL COUNTIES ABOVE 1500 FEET, YOU COULD PICK UP AN INCH OR TWO AT ELEVATION. SO HERE’S A LOOK AT OUR TEN DAY FORECAST. WE HAVE 48 DEGREES FOR THE HIGH TODAY, 40 TOMORROW. COOLEST DAY OF THE WEEK. WE’RE UP TO 50 ON SATURDAY, 52 FOR SUNDAY AND NEXT WEEK WE START IN THE 50S BUT END UP IN THE 40S WITH A SYSTE
