If the Vatican has not yet officially confirmed the visit of Pope Francis in mid-December to Corsica, there is indeed a plan for his arrival, informs Father Frédéric Constant.
The visit and its date have still not been definitively confirmed by the Holy See, but the clues are accumulating. Pope Francis is due to visit Corsica on December 15. “Relations between the Vatican and France are peaceful and trusting. There are still a few details to put in place, but the event will be announced in a few hours or a few days. Perhaps the Pope has been seduced by the island of beauty It is an island which welcomes a lot of people.explains Father Frédéric Constant, vicar general of the Church of Corsica
“We welcome the Pope's choice to come to Corsica to experience a day with the Corsicans. Pope Francis amazes us every day. He goes towards the small ones, the peripheries… Which is more discreet. He will highlight his journey simple and humble towards the Christian faith on this island”he adds.
