Here the bad weather in Ajaccio, in Corsica-du-Sud.

The wind blew hard this Wednesday in Corsica. And these gusts, particularly violent especially near Cap Corse where 190 km/h were reached, could resume this Thursday. The island departments have been placed on orange alert for “strong winds” for this Thursday until Friday morning.
Wednesday was marked by incidents. Corse-Matin reports in particular that a roof in the city center of Bastia was torn off and flew away.
Home windows and even panels were damaged by gusts of wind. Our colleagues emphasize that fortunately no injuries have been reported.
Corsica on orange alert for “strong winds” until Friday morning
Last night the wind died down. However, at the end of the day this Thursday, the gusts are expected to reach significant speeds again. So much so that Météo-France has decided to place Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud on orange alert for “strong winds” until Friday morning 9 a.m. The departments are also placed on yellow “rain-flood” vigilance and only that of Corsica-du-Sud also on yellow “waves-submersion” vigilance.
For this Thursday, the consequences, particularly on air traffic, are almost zero. Corse-Matin indicates that only a 7 a.m. flight from Calvi airport to Marseille was canceled. The other airports did not display any particular problems. This Wednesday, however, on the sea side, the port of Bastia was closed and crossings between the island and the continent interrupted.
On the other hand, according to our colleagues, nearly 3,500 homes are without electricity due to bad weather.
