On October 1, Personal Housing Assistance (APL) was increased by 3.26%, following the evolution of the rent reference index. An increase from which 6.6 million French households benefited. Recently, another change was decided concerning this aid from CAF, reports Capital.
A ministerial decree, published on November 16, modified the supporting documents necessary to apply for an APL. Therefore, the following documents must now be provided:
- A state of people usually living at home;
- A photocopy of both sides of the identity card or passport for European nationals, for other people of foreign nationality, the production of one of the residence permits;
- The amount of assets if its capital value exceeds 30,000 euros;
- A certificate from the lessor justifying the use, surface area and decency of the property, and including the amount of the rent;
- A bank identity statement.
First application and renewal
Since November 17, people making a first APL request and those requesting a renewal must provide this supporting documentation. This decree replaces the texts previously in force “but which have become obsolete, in particular due to the automatic recovery of certain information already declared by applicants or beneficiaries to other administrations”.
As a reminder, the amount of housing assistance depends on the number of children and other dependents, place of residence, the amount of rent up to a certain ceiling, movable and immovable assets and resources. of the household for the last twelve months.
