THE firefighters of the Channel have been mobilized since 7 a.m., this Thursday November 21, 2024pour rescue motorists driving under the snow.

Two accidents on the RD999

At 8 a.m., on the RD999 near Saint-Nicolas-des-Bois, an accident between two cars did an injured person and one unharmed.

Then, around 8:30 a.m., the driver of a heavy goods vehicle also traveling on the RD999 near Moyon found himself trapped inside his vehicle, his truck having ended its journey in a field.

The vehicle was on its side when firefighters rescued it. The driver was slightly injured.

Firefighters also intervened in Juvigny, at 7 a.m., in Périers, at 7:30 a.m., and in Mortain, at 7:46 a.m., for three accidents. The three drivers were slightly injured.

Around 9 a.m., another accident occurred on the A84 near Cromel/Avranches Sud. The person is unhurt.

At 10:30 a.m., the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service was already counting six interventions linked to bad weather. They mobilized 41 firefighters.

Avoid the Gouvets sector on the A84

An accident has also been underway since 11 a.m. on the A84 in the Gouvets sector. The Manche prefecture recommends avoiding the area.
