With the first accumulations starting around 5 a.m.-6 a.m., sections of the national road network will be closed to traffic to vehicles and combinations of vehicles whose gross vehicle weight (GVWR) is greater than 7.5 tonnes. Where should the heaviest vehicles stop?
From 6 a.m., heavy goods vehicles with a GVW greater than 7.5 tonnes and going towards Rennes will be prohibited from traveling on the RN12 between Morlaix and Ille-et-Vilaine. A compulsory storage area is located in Plouigneau (29). In the opposite direction, coming from Rennes, this will be prohibited for them between Bédée (35) and Finistère. Reduced speed and overtaking bans
Only vehicles, emergency equipment and intervention equipment of the same weight will be authorized to circulate on the roads in question. As for vehicles which do not have a GVW greater than 7.5 tonnes, they will also be able to travel there but at a speed limited to 70 km/h.
Throughout the Côtes-d'Armor department, from 6 a.m., vehicles with a GVWR of more than 7.5 tonnes are not authorized to carry out any overtaking maneuvers. Their maximum authorized speed is lowered by 20 km/h on all axes of the national network.
In Ille-et-Vilaine, the speed limit measure of 20 km/h and the overtaking ban in force, from 6 a.m., will concern all roads in the department (secondary network included).
