A strong cold front will deliver the coldest weather of the season for the Gulf Coast. Before the chilly air arrives, though, plan on a wet and cloudy start to your Wednesday.Thankfully, the threat for severe weather is low, but you’ll notice our winds picking up as the cold front moves in. Winds will gust between 25-30 mph at time from the southwest before winds turn more northerly this evening.Rain totals will stay generally below a half inch, but some locally higher amounts are possible where we see some heavier showers. After the front moves through tonight, our temperatures will take a tumble.Daytime highs Thursday will only warm up into the low-to-mid 70s, and we’ll see the chilliest weather of the season this weekend as morning lows dip into the upper 40s.
