The comic, which tells the story of Tom-Tom Dubouchon, 9 years old, and his sister Nana, 7 years old, whose parents run a restaurant, appeared for the first time in the first issue of the monthly children's magazine I like to readin January 1977. Bernadette Després had also been employed by Bayard editions.
15 million albums sold worldwide
In 2009, one of the screenwriters, Jacqueline Cohen, decided to stop writing the stories of Tom-Tom and Nana, putting an end to a saga of more than 30 years, recalls The World. In total, 15 million albums have been sold worldwide.
