A new identity for its tenth anniversary. In 2023, the renowned Polygone Riviera shopping center, located in Cagnes-sur-Mer, changed ownership. For almost a year, the Frey group has been managing it, having taken over from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. Opened in 2015, this well-known site on the Côte d'Azur will celebrate its first decade next year, and for the occasion, many changes are expected.
As reported by our colleagues from Nice-Morning, the name of the place is about to be changed. You will now have to call him Shopping Promenade Rivierastarting today. But the revolution does not stop with this simple modification of the name. During a press conference, the CEO, Antoine Frey, revealed the other new features expected for the Riviera complex.
New stores and leisure areas
With a space of 75,000 square meters, it will have new brands, restaurants and leisure activities. Stores like Bershka, JD Sport and Pull & Bear will be expanded. The second named, for example, will triple its surface area, for a total after the work of 1,200 square meters, absorbing the Botanic.
In terms of games and entertainment, customers will see a Speed Park. Over 5,000 square meters, there will be a laser game, karting and even bowling, in place of the former Printemps. Contrary to what some rumors in the corridors suggested, the company Action, specialized in low-cost distribution, will not set up in the shopping center.
Arrival of Fort Boyard Aventures in 2026
If the arrival of the Speed Park is scheduled for 2025, the Fort Boyard Aventures space will open its doors in 2026. With family or friends, you can put yourself in the shoes of the candidates of the famous TV show by measuring yourself against puzzles and tests.
The development plan specifies that by 2026, thirty businesses and around ten culinary establishments will be inaugurated. A new sector dedicated to catering will see the light of day on the upper part of the site. A large free playground is also planned.
With this orientation, the objective of the complex is to offer, beyond the shopping session, entertainment. Enough to relaunch the race with the competition, and in particular Cap 3000, in Saint-Laurent-du-Var, or even NICETOILE, in the Maralpine capital.
