The Mazan rape trial is the one “cowardice”accused Gisèle Pelicot on Tuesday, November 19, the main victim of this extraordinary case, believing that it was time for society to “change your outlook” on rape.
“For me, this trial will be the trial of cowardice. It is high time that the macho, patriarchal society, which trivializes rape, changes. It's time we change the way we look at rape.”insisted the septuagenarian, victim of repeated rapes, over a decade, by her husband, who drugged her, and dozens of strangers he recruited on the internet.
After the hearing of the three Pelicot children and the questioning of the last two of the 51 accused on Monday, Gisèle Pelicot returned to the stand on Tuesday to once again answer questions from the defense lawyers. The floor will be given one last time to her ex-husband, before the start of the pleadings, probably on Wednesday.
