Dry & Mild Monday Afternoon

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Monday will be dry with overcast conditions with warm morning temperatures in the low 50s and afternoon highs in the mid 60s.

A FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY issued for Tuesday, as rain moves in overnight Monday into Tuesday morning. Tuesday will be wet, especially for the morning commute with conditions slowly drying out late in the day. It will also be the warmest day in the foreseeable future with highs in the upper 60s.

Wednesday and Thursday are FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS due to disruptive weather.

Wednesday will start off with widely scattered rain showers in the late morning and linger into the afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the mid-to-upper 50s ahead of a powerful low-pressure system that actually gets stronger over the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley Region. This low-pressure system will usher in cold air behind it in addition of producing strong wind gusts. Wednesday night into Thursday morning will see temperatures plummet to the 30s (still above freezing) and allow for precipitation to change from rain to a rain/snow mix. This wintry mix will continue on Thursday afternoon as temperatures struggle to get out of the 30s with windy conditions still persistent.

Behind the system, drier air will move into the tri-state for Thursday night into next Friday. However, areas of drizzle and/or snow flurries are possible and could continue through next Friday with cloudy conditions. Temperatures will also remain below-normal with highs in the low-to-mid 40s.

This weekend will be dry with temperatures rising back into the 50s going into the start of Thanksgiving Week.
