Claude Lelouch and Kad Merad are the guests of Franceinfo. The famous French director discusses his 51st film alongside one of his actors.
“Finally” is Claude Lelouch’s 51st film. “It’s a very positive story in a world where the negative is too important”. A film that sounds like an ode to life: “I love life and I would like to make as many people as possible love it through my films”. In Finally, the message is clear: “Everything that happens to us is for our own good even if it hurts a lot at the time. And it’s even more true when it hurts a lot”.
This is the first time that Kad Merad has worked with Claude Lelouch, thanks in particular to the SNCF: “I met Madame Lelouch on a train while Claude was preparing the film”. After a conversation with the director's partner, Kad Merad confides that he would dream of working with Claude Lelouch. A coincidence that did things well. “Kad Merad ticks all the boxes, we first needed an actor who could make us laugh but also cry, give goosebumps, who could sing…”explains the French director.
