The La Mégère Festival Committee offers activities throughout the year around this rural district located to the north-east of the commune of Moissac, on the road to Lafrançaise.
Among its many activities, there are hiking trails, taking advantage of the rich landscape and heritage of its surroundings, between the first hills of Quercy and the valleys of Lemboulas and Tarn. We hike in the spring at La Mégère, with a route also open to mountain bikers, but also in the fall (hiking only), and this for a noble cause. Indeed, in a few days the Telethon will be organized on a national scale like every year at the start of December. Taking the lead, the Mégère Festival Committee organizes its autumn hike each year for the benefit of the Téléthon Force T association in Moissac.
An 8 km route
It will take place on Saturday November 23 over a half-day, departing from the parking lot of the Mégère village hall adjoining the Firmin-Bouisset primary school. The proposed route, 8 km long, will highlight the surrounding countryside. The meeting is set from 1:30 p.m. for a scheduled departure at 2 p.m., and participation, free, will be entirely donated for the Telethon. Last year, it rained on the course, this year we are hoping for milder weather conditions for this event which is both sporting and supportive.
