The last time Germany scored seven goals in an international match was back in 2021 when they thrashed Latvia 7-1.
This Saturday, Germany opened the scoring just seconds into the match, with the first goal arriving in under ninety seconds. Jamal Musiala, with a well-timed header and a significant leap, found the back of the net after connecting with a cross from the right wing delivered by Joshua Kimmich. The German captain had received the ball from a headed pass from striker Tim Kleindienst.
In the 23rd minute, demonstrating their dominance through high pressing and quick turnovers, Kleindienst expertly flicked a shot from Robert Andrich, who, from the edge of the box, capitalized on a poor clearance by the Bosnian defense. This delightful finish marked Kleindienst’s first international goal as a player for Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Kai Havertz, the Arsenal forward who had missed Germany’s recent fixtures due to injury, came close to scoring on several occasions in the first half. He eventually found the net, making it 3-0 with a right-footed shot after an excellent one-two with Wirtz inside the box in the 37th minute.
