All ATP Finals singles semi-finalists have been decided and are preparing for the matches starting today Saturday. The eight best tennis players in the world are currently participating in this tournament, the last ATP Tour of the season.
Alex de Minaur, Daniil Medvedev, Carlos Alcaraz and Andréi Rubliov are out and there are four left.
Alexander Zverev plays Taylor Fritz at 2:30 PM CET (Central European Time, 1:30 PM British Time). Jannik Sinner will then play against Casper Ruud at 8:30 PM.
Who are the favorites and when will the final take place?
Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, currently ranked number 1 in the world by a wide margin, is the favorite to lift the trophy in front of his home crowd and has reached the semi-finals without losing a set.
If he wins the ATP Finals, he would add to his other seven titles this season, including two Grand Slams (Australian and US Open). He would first have to deal with Norway’s Ruud, who has not taken a set from the Italian in their two previous Head2Head meetings.
German tennis player ‘Shasha’ Zverev has also won all three previous matches in Turin and recently won the Paris Masters, placing him second behind Alcaraz in the ATP rankings.
There is a good chance that Sinner-Zverev will win the title on Sunday, after losing it last year to Novak Djokovic (who withdrew due to injury), but anything can happen in Turin…
