Kosovars seem to have searched for her with the candle in Romania! Of course, at their last appearance at the National Arena, an offensive banner, “Kosovo e Serbia”, gave them a good reason to leave the field. Then, in 2023, the game was interrupted for over 40 minutes. This time, however, Romania – Kosovo was played in a clean atmosphere, to a large extent. And yet, the guests wanted to cause a scandal out of nothing.

In extra time of a match in which they wasted many opportunities, the Kosovars, frustrated as if by the score on the table (0-0), related to the fact that, after the 90th minute, some spectators threw some objects on the lawn. In addition, chants of “Serbia, Serbia“.
The moment was preceded by a conflict in which Alibec and Rrahmani got into an argument. But nothing unusual for a tense game of this level.
And yet, shockingly, the Kosovars made the decision to leave the field! In the booing of the spectators and vehemently criticized by the Antena 1 commentators: “It's a shame what the Kosovars are doing!“. In the Antena 1 studio, Gică Popescu was also amazed by what he saw: “Children's reaction! I mean, you got mad, took the ball and left?!“.
As if their illogical gesture wasn't outrageous enough, several Kosovars made obscene signs to the Romanian fans as they made their way to the changing rooms. This under the eyes of the Romanian players who, of course, remained on the pitch, waiting for the referee's decision.
After waiting for an hour (!), the Danish center, Morten Krogh (36 years old), made the decision to suspend the match permanently due to the refusal of the Kosovars to return to the field for the last two minutes of the game.
Under these conditions, the decision will be with UEFA based on the report of the referee and the one drawn up by the game observer. Almost certainly, however, Romania will win the match at “green table“, score 3-0. And Kosovo also risks additional sanctions, beyond the loss of the game at the National Arena, for refusing to resume the game. Especially since all this “circ” was provoked out of nothing.
