At the moment, Marine Le Pen is in turmoil. Even if she puts on a good show, the president of the National Rally is currently spending more time in the courts than in the Assembly. And for good reason: she is indicted in the trial of her party's parliamentary assistants. A trial whose indictment fell on Friday, November 15 against a cut: the Paris prosecutor's office requested five years in prison, three of which were suspended, five years of inequality as well as a 300,000 euro fine.
If her requisitions are applied by the court, the politician will not be able to run in the 2027 presidential election. A prospect that puts her in all sorts of distress. “This feeling of revolt, which I feel deeply, millions of French people feel it with me”she insisted at the end of her trial.

The TF1 8 p.m. presenter then pushed her guest to her limits. Despite Marine Le Pen's justifications, she recalled the facts. “The prosecutor considers that you have not provided sufficient proof of the material work of these parliamentary assistants”she explained. Repeating: “Once again, it’s French taxpayer money! »
Obviously very annoyed by this insistence, Marine Le Pen gradually lost patience. Raising her voice, she cut off her interlocutor: “But ma’am, ma’am (…) We didn’t get a cent more than we were entitled to to hire assistants”she defended. On set, the atmosphere was more than tense…
