Dorohoi City Hall received a stinging fine for not complying with the obligation not to remove, hold or keep waste outside the authorized premises.
Following the inspection and control actions, the Botoșani Environmental Guard imposed a fine of 70,000 lei, after detecting several wastes, household goods and construction results, improperly stored in public spaces.
The actions were aimed at verifying the implementation status of the priority governance measures regarding the management of municipal waste and the sanitation status of the localities.
Time-bound measures have been established to remedy the non-conformities found and preventive measures.
So far, 72 UATs, Ecoprocess Intracommunity Development Association and Botoșani County Council have been checked and several fines have been applied.
In October, as a result of the inspections carried out on the topic of compliance with the waste regime, 54 contraventional sanctions were applied for the non-conformities found, of which: 38 warnings and 16 contraventional fines, totaling 475,000 lei.
