Léa Salamé and Nicolas Demorand reveal the secrets of their couple's longevity

VIDEO – The pair at the head of Inter’s “7/10” were invited to the set of “C à vous” to celebrate their audience record which fell earlier in the day.

Radio audiences fell and France Inter took off, setting its record. For the occasion, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine received this Thursday, November 14, the morning team from “7/10” of the public radio station, namely Sonia Devillers, Charline Vanhoenacker, Léa Salamé and Nicolas Demorand. The last two have co-hosted this section of information since 2017.

Keen to highlight the success of this pair, the “C à vous” team collected explanations from each of their colleagues on this longevity. “It’s all fake”joked Daniel Morin when Mathieu Noël felt, ironically, that their relationship was similar to the one he has with Patrick Cohen: “We never see each other outside of the show, so we can't get along.” Their director, Adèle Van Reeth, raised a completely different question: “Like all old couples, it probably has to do with sexuality. You have to ask them. Either there are a lot of them, or none at all.”

Neither one nor two, Babeth Lemoine tackled this question. “We don’t sleep together”Léa Salamé immediately clarified, while turning to her partner. And if Sonia Devillers described them as “old couple full of neuroses but who still love each other very much”Charline Vanhoenacker considered that the explanation was very simple: “We are dealing with a deconstructed man and a powerful woman.”

A few minutes later, Nicolas Demorand in turn delivered the recipe for their alchemy, according to him. “The bottom line is that we are not sleeping together. You need the facts. We have immense pleasure working together and I think that's simply called friendship. […] And it’s wonderful to experience every day. I’m happy to see Léa every morning”he shared before giving a sort of statement. “That’s also why I do the morning show, it’s because she’s there every day and I can see her”concluded Nicolas Demorand facing a Léa Salamé who was not surprised, but “touched”.
